The scope of RUACH programming has greatly expanded since its inception six years ago.
- RUACH’s initial programming offered music and visual arts classes to populations which had previously lacked extensive arts opportunities.
- Today its wide range of offerings includes creative arts workshops; visual arts residencies; concerts, classes and coaching for organizations spanning the entire Milwaukee Jewish and at-large communities; music lessons; special creative initiatives; general instruction in music, visual arts and creative movement; and choral experiences
- Populations served by RUACH include students at Jewish and other schools, the elderly at Jewish Home and Care Center facilities, former Soviet Union residents eager for concert experiences and other populations from within and without the Jewish community.
- Collaborating agencies have included, among others, all the Jewish day schools and some public schools; the Jewish Home and Care Center and its assisted living facilities; the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center; the Coalition for Jewish Learning; Wheaton Franciscan Health Care–St Joseph; Congregation Beth Jehudah; Gilda’s Club of Southeastern Wisconsin; Jewish Museum Milwaukee; and Jewish Family Services.
